#OneWord Thursday: All truly great thoughts are conceived while #walking.
#Walk it off! Studies from both the University of South Carolina and University of Tennessee showed that people who walk fewer than 5,000 steps per day were heavier than those who walked at least 9,000 steps; and those who upped their movement to 10,000 steps per day were linked to having a higher (good) HDL, lower blood pressure, stabilized blood sugar, lower weight and less body fat.
The good news is that you are more than likely already half way there! You are likely to be walking 5,000 steps per day just by running errands, doing errands, or going to and from work!
Pedometers are inexpensive, easy to use and can be a great reminder for you to move it, move it, walk it off!
Today’s #Oneword is #WALK
