#OneWord Thursday – Manifesting #Blessings
One of the things we have been exploring this week (exploring vs. trying to make happen) is ‘How to Wake Up Happy.’ We’ve kicked ourselves in the tush as we “Puzzled?” our way through the topic. Today, Our Lady of Weight Loss and Janice Taylor (that’s me), your resident positarian, offer up a platter full of happiness, miracles and #blessings.
These ten #blessings, in the form of quotes about #blessings, will help you to rediscover your power to invoke blessing and affirm your interconnectedness to life; which, in turn, will help you to wake up happy.
10 Quotes: Manifesting #Blessings
It would be lovely if we could rediscover our power to bless one another. When a blessing is invoked, it changes the atmosphere. Some of the plenitude flows into our hearts from the invisible neighborhood of loving-kindness. In the light and reverence of a blessing, a person or situation becomes illumined in a completely new way.
It is ironic that so often we continue to live like paupers though our inheritance of spirit is so vast. The quiet eternal that dwells in our souls is silent and subtle; in the activity of blessing it emerges to embrace and nurture us. Let us begin to learn how to bless one another. Whenever you give a blessing, a blessing returns to enfold you. ~ John O’Donohue
When you wish someone joy, you wish them peace, love, prosperity, happiness… all the good things. ~ Maya Angelou
Sometimes we focus so much on what we don’t have that we fail to see, appreciate, and use what we do have! ~ Jeff Dixon
A blessing is much more than just an act. It is an affirmation of our interconnectedness; it is the creation of an opportunity for the power of that connectedness to pour through into our lives and the lives of others. So in practicing the art of blessing, we are really practicing being connected. We are practicing how to discover and express those parts of ourselves that innately understand that connectedness and the wholeness that emerges from it. ~ David Spangler
The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings. ~ Eric Hoffer
May we be strengthened with the understanding that being blessed does not mean that we shall always be spared all the disappointments and difficulties of life. ~ Heber J. Grant
God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you? ~ William Arthur Ward
Some people come in our life as blessings. Some come in your life as lessons. ~ Mother Teresa
Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it, you must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it. If you don’t, you will leak away your innate contentment. It’s easy enough to pray when you’re in distress but continuing to pray even when your crisis has passed is like a sealing process, helping your soul hold tight to its good attainments. ~ Elizabeth Gilbert
To witness miracles unfold in your experience, count your blessings and be thankful. Perceived small blessings accumulate to be the most powerful.” ~ T.F. Hodge
